NHS guidance for shielding and protecting people defined medically as extremely vulnerable from Covid-19 was published on 22 March 2020. Although most patients are capable of short term self-management, those who seek treatment to avert imminent infection, ulceration and in significant pain should be assessed for urgent domiciliary in line with temporary HCPC covid protocols and clinical judgement (with known history or otherwise).
